The Estate

Maria Vinci is a farm specialized in the production of high-quality Tuscan wines and olive oil.

The estate is located in the Maremma DOC district, in the southern area of Tuscany, more specifically in Capalbio, a medieval village from whose walls you can have a glimpse of the Tyrrhenian sea and the surrounding hills populated by sheeps, cows and “butteri”, mounted herders from this region.

History

The Messina – Vinci family

The story of the estate begins in 2010 when Alessia and Patrizio Messina found, in this very area of Maremma, a big oak tree and a swing dangling from a branch on one of the highest hillocks.

In this wild and magical place, the family decides to continue, after a couple of generations, the agricultural activity run in Sicily before World War II and give life to a new project: a winery named after Maria Vinci, matron of the family and a great wine lover.
